• Know your budget for your new home. The best way to know is to meet with a mortgage lender who will review your income, assets, and credit history to pre-approve you for a loan. Getting pre-approved helps narrow your search and makes your offer stronger when it comes time to buy. If you don’t currently have a lender, we’d be happy to recommend a few.
• Have a wish list. Imagine your ideal home and make a list of everything you envision, such as beds/baths, style of home and location. Then break the list down into items you can’t live without and things that would be nice to have.
